TRAITS OF A TRUE SERVANT

1. He is passion driven for His God given assignment. John 4:34; Genesis 24:33.

:           He protects and projects his mission with all sense of jealousy above results, achievements, recognition, position, celebration and material rewards. John 6:15; 1 Samuel 17:58; Joel 8:22-23.

:           He is after fulfillment not achievement. Colossians 4:17.

:           He is under an oath & he is committed to duty.  John 9:4.

:           Never let fashion take the place of passion.

2. He has compassion for people – Hebrews 5:1-5.

:           He is touched by people’s needs.

:           He is touchable (accessible).

:           He shows care.

:           He doesn’t use but raises people.

:           He accepts responsibility for the well being of others.

3. He makes sacrifices – Matthew 20:24-25; John 10:11.

:           He is contribution motivated not recognition driven.  A true servant offers his service and his life.

:           Jesus took the form of a servant!  So, drop sense of reputation.

:           To earn God’s trust (access to more power).

:           Serve faithfully with sense of being under probation.

:           Trade the present for the future.

:           Abide in your calling – 1 Corinthians 7:20-24; Matthew 25:14-30.

:           Exploit is not measured by how powerful but by how faithful you are.
