Leadership influences.
People will always bend towards their leader.
Therefore, beware of what you do, people follow you to do what you do.
You influence people by what you do.
Leadership dictates the direction of followers.
Manasseh misdirected Judah – “So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err…” 2 Chronicles 33:9.
Human beings have the natural instinct to follow.
So, who leads them is crucial to their direction of movement.
A leader is regarded as reference, example and standard.
Beware therefore of how you conduct yourself.
Consciously or unconsciously, you are influencing people.
Manasseh’s influence was negative, but Josiah’s influence was positive. “And Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained to the children of Israel and made all that were present in Israel to serve, even to serve the LORD their God. And all his days they departed not from following the LORD, the God of their fathers.” 2 Chronicles 34:29-33.
