HOW TO ESCAPE THE TRAP OF ENVY

Proverbs 27:4.

“Wrath is cruel and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?”

Envy is about the worst evil, subtle, silent killer. No man can pacify the man who has it.

Envy is cancerous and rottens the bones. – Proverbs 14:30.

WHAT IS ENVY?

It is displeasure at others’ progress.

Acts 13:45  -“But when the Jews saw the multitudes they were filled with envy.”

Manifestations of envy – Example of Paul.

Speaking against others – Verse 45.

Contradicting and blaspheming – Verse 45.

Stirring up (Raising sentiments) – Verse 50.

Raising persecution – Verse 50.

Wishing the death of others – Verse 50, Luke 27:18.

Matt. 27:18. “For He knew that for envy they had delivered Him.”

Way Out Of Envy

• Rejoice at others’ progress. Romans 12:12.
• Be busy, diligently doing your own business. – 1 Thessalonians 4:11.
• Ask God for your own breakthrough – 1 Chronicles 4:9-10.

• Keep loving your haters – Proverbs 25:21, 22.
• Be vigilant and watchful – John 7:1-6.
