A Disciple is a follower.
He is called to follow.
He has resigned from his personal interest with an absolute sense of abandonment.
He certainly must be a dead man.
God uses only dead men.
What remains alive in a believer is what is hindering the fullness of God’s life in him.
Abandonment of self is what gives allowance to God’s spirit to fill a vessel.
Also, a disciple is expected to be a diligent follower; one who can endure hardness as a good soldier of Christ.
He is prepared to deny himself, take up his cross and be ever willing to follow.
Never live casual, if you don’t want to end in casualty, nor serve with levity if you don’t want to be leveled out.
Serve seriously if you want to be crowned gloriously.
