Precept makes a conventional leader but example makes an authoritative leader.
Example is platform for exhibiting authority.

People are never weary of following exemplary leaders.
Precept is about teaching what you know while example is living what you know.
Real precept is meant to be a tool for communicating lessons drawn from an exemplary leader.
