WALK IN THE COVENANT! (PART 1)
One very important truth you must know is that fruitfulness is a covenant. You have a part to play and God has His. If you want God to fulfill His part you must fulfill yours. It is not just enough to look onto God to give you a miracle child, you must walk in the covenant; go into an agreement with God. A covenant is a contract and laws or terms guide every contract. There is something you must do for God to establish the covenant of fruitfulness in your life. Exodus 23:25–26 says:
And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfill.
The key word there is ‘serve’. “You shall serve the Lord your God.” That is one of the covenant demands for fruitfulness. And serving God is more than going to church and listening to messages, you have to be practically involved in carrying out certain services in the house of God. That means you must serve God with your time, your energy, your finances, your substance, everything!
Don’t be a bench warmer in church; look for opportunities to be physically involved in a service group, not as a supervisor but as a true worker. If you are sweeping, ushering, teaching in the Children’s Sunday school or whatever you are doing, do it with all your heart and God will shower you with His blessings. Some people sneak in and out of Church, not contributing to anything and they are wondering, “Why am I not blessed?” Don’t you know that until you prove your commitment to the Kingdom of God, He also will not be committed to the issues of your life? He said, “Do to others what you want others to do to you.” If you want God to put your case on His priority list then make His kingdom the number one priority of your life.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
- Matthew 6:33
That baby you so desire will be added to you as you lay hold on this key of kingdom service and begin to use it. Serve God with all your heart, without grumbling or eye service, because you are not doing it unto man but unto Him and when He sees you in the secret He will reward you in the open.
Another way to make the covenant of fruitfulness work for you is through sacrificial giving. When you bring a worthy and acceptable sacrifice unto the Lord, He becomes committed to fulfill His Word in your life. He said:
Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
- Psalms 50:5
ALLOW COMPETITION! | Today: 2017-01-23
…I run that I man win…
1 Corinthians 9:26
Healthy competition is good.
It allows room for variety of events.
Healthy competition makes room for diversities.
It is also the breeding environment for improvement and excellence.
After all, competition is not devilish if it is engaged healthily.
Without it the system remains dull and creativity becomes nonexistent. Without it life will loose its excitement.
Creativity allows room for options instead of regimentation of approach to issues.
The moment you’re aware that options and alternatives exist over what you’re doing, you are been compelled to put in your best and to become your best.
Above all, life is a race. Paul said, I run that I may win. (1 Corinthians. 9:26.)
And it is clear that you can’t run to win except you carry a competitive mentality.
In essence, all human beings are born to compete.
What makes it healthy is the fact that you are not grieved or offended at your neighbour’s advancement. Rather you focus on how to improve yourself in your God-ordained endeavours.
So, if you must win then you must compete!
